In-line foam dispensers/inductors are Venturi devices that introduce foam concentrate into a water stream at a controlled flow rate. The solution flow rate of the device is related to the inlet pressure of the dispenser. In addition to water pressure, in-line feeders/inductors are sensitive to back pressure.
This is the pressure required downstream of the feeder to discharge the total flow of foam solution. The total permissible back pressure on the discharge side of the in-line feeder/inductor must not exceed 65% of the water inlet pressure. When using in-line dispensers/inducers as portable devices, a suction tube is included to extract the foam concentrate from the portable containers.
